I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown,
for going out, I found, was really going in.
- John Muir –
Using a Wisconsin local or regional nature scene and other fun inspirations,
we will practice with oil pastels on a variety of backgrounds including sandpaper, pastel paper and/or glass.
The “Ish-y” part is this:
What you create will be tree-ish, branch-ish, landscape-ish,
sunrise-ish, sunset-ish…flower-ish, you get the idea.
We are not going for extreme detail or replication here, but tapping into our own intuitive self-expression by using simple strokes, blending and shading, creating an idea of what we see. We will begin with learning relatable techniques and play on our own with the inspiration provided.
Rules of the class:
No judgements, no competition, and no expectations.
Barbie (Babs) Luepke will serve as your Art Guide.
*This class will have opportunities to be plein air – immersing ourselves in nature and bringing our supplies along with us for an outdoor adventure in art. These outdoor adventures will be noted ahead of time.
Allow yourself creative time to transform as many times as you need to be fully happy and free.
